MY MORNING SKINCARE ROUTINE
Updated: Nov 16, 2018
Hi everyone! Today I am going to be talking about my morning skincare routine! All of my skincare products are derived from natural ingredients. It's extremely important to not use harsh chemicals on your face. Also, I have noticed that my skin looks the absolute best when I am just using natural skincare products. I am going to list out every product I use in the order that I use them.
DISCLAIMER: I have normal skin, and I get oily in my t-zone. Skin care routines are not a "one size fits all".
My Morning Skincare Routine
Face Wash: I use the CSI Rose Hip Facial Cleanser because I gravitate toward anything with rose water or rose hip seed oil, my skin just really loves it. This facial cleanser is packed with natural oils and leaves your face feeling clean but not too dried out.
Toner: After washing your face, you can still have dirt that the face wash did not completely get rid of. This can result in acne and texture, which we definitely do not want. So, I use the Thayers Alcohol-Free Witch Hazel with Organic Aloe Vera Formula Toner with Lavender. This toner is really a staple for me, I can't remember a time when I didn't use this. It's just so good.
Rose Water Spray: Rose water spray is the best for hydrating your skin. Not only do I use this in the morning, but I am always carrying one around in my purse. There's not really one specific rose water I use. I just like to use one that doesn't have any harmful ingredients or fragrances. The Heritage Store Rose Petals Rosewater is a great option!
Eye Cream: This is something that can be easily overlooked but this is one of the most important steps to me. The skin under your eye is the most delicate skin on your entire face. Eye cream helps you look more awake, which can make your entire face look more fresh. I have been using the Beauty by Earth's Coffee Bean Eye Cream. It is packed with anti-inflammatory and anti-aging nutrients that your under eyes desperately need.
Under Eye Masks: Some days I really need some extra help in the eye department. On these days, I use Grace & Stella Anti-Wrinkle + Energizing Gold Collagen Eye Masks. When your eyes are puffier than normal, sometimes just an eye cream won't get the job done. I really love these because the collagen and minerals of the eye mask revitalize and really rejuvenate the area around your eyes.
Serum: Ever since I bought my first bottle of the Sunflower Sweets Serum, I was obsessed. This serum cleared up my complexion soooooo much! Every time I put this on, my skin looks super plump and hydrated. It seriously looks like I just got a facial.
SPF: SPF is imperative, and i won’t leave home without it. Summer or winter, it does not matter! SPF not only helps you prevent wrinkling & premature aging, but it also protects you from the harmful UVA & UVB rays emitted by the sun! I use the Facial Sunscreen by Beauty by Earth because it's a mineral sunscreen, which means it's less toxic for your skin and the environment.
Moisturizer: No matter what type of skin you have (normal, dry, oily, combo), moisturizing needs to be in your skincare routine. Nothing good comes from not using moisturizer. I love the Origins GinZing™ Energy-Boosting Gel Moisturizer because it is super light weight and oil free. The main ingredient in this moisturizer is coffee bean. The energizing properties from the coffee bean can actually help wake up, refresh, and restore radiance to tired skin.
Thanks so much for reading! I hope reading this inspires your own skincare routine. If you use any of these products and love them as much as I do, comment below! :)
