Skincare Products I'm Loving Right Now

(@the.wrinkle.phobic on Instagram)

I'm not going to lie, I have been buying skincare products like crazy lately. It's kind of an unhealthy obsession of mine. I love it, but my wallet definitely doesn't (oops)! When I buy new products, I usually have to test them for a month to decide whether they agree with my skin or not. All of the products I'm going to mention in this blog post have definitely passed the test! If you have combination/dry skin and struggle with acne scars like me, these products might be perfect for you!

Also, as a disclaimer: I am very picky on what I use on my skin. If it is not derived from all-natural ingredients, I make sure I check the product on Think Dirty. This website rates the toxicity level of product (they have an app as well).

1. Sephora Collection Glow Peel Pads ($15 for 60 pads)

I use these every morning and night to help battle my dry skin and uneven texture! These exfoliating peel pads are packed with amazing ingredients to retexurize and smooth your skin. The highlighted ingredients are:

- Glycolic Acid From Sugar Cane: Known to exfoliate and smooth the skin. - Natural Peptides From Marine Algae: Known for its tightening effect. - Natural Aloe Vera: Known to soothe skin.

2. Sephora Collection Nourishing Moisturizer- Hydrate & Repair ($16 for 1.69 oz)

I realized a little over a month ago that the moisturizer I was using was not working for me. My dryness had gotten worse, which resulted in the texture of my skin getting worse as well. Once I saw that Sephora came out with a clean collection, I bought their moisturizer the very next day and I've loved it ever since! This moisturizer has ingredients that target dryness and uneven texture. Some of the main ingredients are:

-Avocado Oil: Nourishes the skin. -Marula Oil: Repairs the skin. -Rose Hip Seed Oil: Softens the skin.

3. Peter Thomas Roth FIRMx Peeling Gel ($48 for 3.4 oz)

I'll admit, this is a product that I just discovered but this has been SAVING my skin lately. When it comes to masks or exfoliators, I can tell within the first 1-3 uses how good a product is because results come quicker. This exfoliates so well but is so gentle! It visibly exfoliates by rolling, lifting, and sweeping away when massaged onto the skin as a result of physical and enzymatic mechanisms. Every time I use this, my skin feels insanely soft after. It contains multi-action enzymes (pineapple, pomegranate, and keratinase) and cellulose to effectively exfoliate for a smooth, fresh, new-looking complexion without drying, irritating, or causing undue stress to the skin. You can leave it on for 5 minutes and use it as a mask, but I realized that my skin reacts better when I just use it as a scrub and rinse it off immediately after.

4. Drunk Elephant Rise + Glow Brightening Duo ($23 for 2 .27 oz serums)

I know .27 oz doesn't sound like a lot at all, but it a little goes a long way so it will last you a while. I started using a pump of each serum in my morning skincare routine and it has lasted me about 1-2 months now. I found that it is actually better to buy this kit than buying the full sized products, because you get more for your money in the travel kits! This kit comes with the C- Firma Day Serum and the B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum. The formulas for both deliver powerful antioxidants to visibly firm and brighten the skin as they replenish essential hydration!

Let me know if any of you decide to try these products! I'd love to hear your thoughts on them. Thank you so much for reading, stay tuned for another blog post next Sunday!
